Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about players, joining, rooms, language, and scoring.

How many players do I need?

You need at least 3 and at most 10 players. Add names in setup before creating the room.

Do players need to install an app?

No. The host and players only need a modern web browser on the same Wi‑Fi network.

How do phones join the game?

After the host creates a room, the host screen shows a QR code and join link. Players scan or open the link and pick their name.

Do I need to type a room code?

No. Players join by scanning the QR on the host screen or opening the invite link the host copies. The link includes a secret join key so random visitors cannot enter.

Can we play in Arabic or English?

Yes. Choose the room language in setup. Marketing pages are available in both /ar/ and /en/; gameplay strings follow the room language.

How does scoring work?

Players earn points when the group catches the imposter. The imposter scores when they escape detection. The scoreboard updates after each round.

How long do rooms last?

Rooms are temporary. Session data is removed automatically after inactivity and when a game ends; see our Privacy Policy for the full retention summary and how to contact us.

Can I host on a local IP address?

Yes for home Wi‑Fi parties — use the address shown on the host screen so phones can join. Public websites should use a stable domain you share with players.
